Millions of Americans May Benefit From Overtime Pay
President Obama and Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez announced the publication of Department of Labor’s final rule to update overtime regulations. The Rule, announced today, will extend overtime pay protections to over four million workers within the first year of implementation — allowing workers earning up to $47,476 annually to qualify for overtime pay for each hour put in beyond a 40-hour work week. Expanding Prosperity Impact Collaborative
The Aspen Institute Financial Security Program launched a new initiative that will investigate economic forces that severely impact the financial security of American families. The Expanding Prosperity Impact Collaborative (EPIC) will elevate new research and ideas, leverage the convening power of the Aspen Institute, connect new audiences, expand reach through digital surveys, and deliver fresh frameworks for government and industry to expand prosperity.
